Wow! It’s been a while since I’ve blogged. I know Jen is the only one who looks at this thing…so Jen, here is what I’ve been up to. I’m at work right now and Janna is helping someone with booking a trip. I like this job a lot…but I will need to find a new one soon! Chris does two nights a week at pinecreek camp so i’m all alone, all alone. I hate it. But last night I just hung around the house alone and got some cleaning and things done. So, that was good.
Um…I have to go now. Work beckons!
my co-workers threw me a little surprise wedding party and they gave me money folded up like boats and rhinos and baskets and things. So amazing!! Praise God for how He provides for us. We seriously have had some major financial trials lately and the Lord just keeps providing over and over again. Someone found Christopher’s wallet that he lost and there was still some money in there, someone mailed me a trader joes gift card and i have no clue who it was from, everytime i go grocery shopping i think i’m going to have to spend $50 and i get by the whole week on 25 or 30 dollars. And, just the other day someone called my parents and said they wanted to pay for Chris and I to go to a luau in Hawaii. Amazing. Not only does the Lord provide for all of our needs…but he gives us so much extra that we dont’ need.

cold shower
Not because I wanted to, but because I had to. I went running last night with Natalie and then we went to Golden Spoon with our SCV small group (Mango yogurt…mmmm) and when I got home Molly, Chandra, Rae and I just sat up and chatted about girly things…lingerie, new jobs, getting married, shaving…stuff like that. All that say, I was so tired that I just went to bed in my running clothes all dirty and gross. I know, not a shining moment for me. But, I had in the back of my mind how great my shower would be the next morning. BUT, I got up only to realize that we have no hot water in our whole apartment! So, I did it. I took a cold shower. And it was awful.

I think sometimes our problem is that we listen to our own thoughts, concerns, worries, fears more than we tell ourselves the truth. Christ has to be the first thing on our minds and in our thoughts. Everything else will pale in comparison and our worries are suddenly trials that we get to rejoice over! Why I ever think it is profitable to dwell on the thoughts of a wicked, fallen, sinful girl instead of dwelling on the thoughts of a perfect, pure, holy, creator is beyond me.
A Conversation with Chris
We got coffee this morning at Peet’s (our fave coffee place) and there was a sign out front that advertised their new Malawi coffee…
Chris: mAlawI? (I’m trying to show how he pronounced it)
Becky: It’s Malawi. (pronounced correctly)
Chris: Don’t act like you’re all Hawaiin…like you know everything about Hawaii.
Becky: Malawi is in Africa Chris.
Chris: oh.
A New Discovery
And that discovery is Diet Coke. I know that all I have to do is google “Diet Coke” and I can find plenty of reasons to not drink this delectable 0 calorie treat, but I choose to remain ignorant and enjoy my bliss.

Moving
This is the week that I start to pack!! There’s something about packing that I like. I like it when I have the time and plenty of boxes…but when I have only a few hours here and a few hours there I don’t really like it because then I just make messes everywhere. If anyone knows where to get more hours in the day at a good price, please email merous5@yahoo.com.
